About Pier Bowl
The Pier Bowl wraps around the San Clemente Pier, just below downtown in the 92672 ZIP code. This is where the city began: founder Ole Hanson bought the land in 1925 and required Spanish Colonial design in every deed, which is why white stucco and red tile roofs still define the area. Hanson's own villa, Casa Romantica, was completed in 1928 on the bluff facing the pier.
Local tip: This is where I live. You can walk to downtown and the beach, and there's always a fun neighborhood event going on.
